My passion is asking questions, to continually ask 'why?', 'how?', and 'what if?'. To me, the goal of learning isn't as much about getting students to answer challenging questions as it is enabling them to ask them. Igniting a student's passion and curiosity enables them not only to learn, but to re-learn for a lifetime. As Sir Ken Robinson has said, passion is "whatever fires your imagination and stokes your energy". While I embrace the charge tasked with educators to help students become ready for college and career, addressing the passion gap in education will help young learners become "life ready." When I'm not asking questions, I'm passionate about travel, sailing, animal rescue, and soccer.
